Grand Ayatollah Makarem Shirazi referred to some regional rulers’ obedience to the world arrogance, urging them to learn from the fate of former Libyan dictator Muammar Gaddafi.
Speaking at Qom’s Azam Mosque on Wednesday, the grand source of emulation added that some Arab leaders are plotting against Syria and later will hatch plots against Iraq while relying on hegemonic powers.
He noted that these leaders are not popular and depend on the United States and other hegemonic power.
“Why do they not open their eyes to see what happened to rulers who used to rely on the world arrogance and then were toppled?” he asked.
The grand Ayatollah further underlined the all-out support of the Iranian people for the Islamic Republic, saying that the US and hegemonic governments have been exerting all kinds of pressures and hatching all kinds of plots against Iran, but all their attempts have failed because the Islamic Establishment has people’s support.
He also praised the Iranian nation for their massive presence in the February 10 rallies across the country that marked the anniversary of the Islamic Revolution’s Victory.
