Saudi Shia figure Sheikh Hassan Al-Saffar criticized the silence of international organizations over the Zionist regime’s crimes against Palestinian prisoners.
The Friday prayer leader of Qatif, in Eastern Saudi Arabia, said the international community treats the Zionist regime as an entity that has no obligation to obey international rules and laws.
“They turn a blind eye to the regime’s occupation of Arab lands and its possession of nuclear weapons, which is a threat against Middle East countries.”
He said while Israel has trampled on human rights in Palestine and destroyed Muslims’ lands, there is no resolve to bring it to justice for the crimes it has committed.
Al-Saffar referred to the Islamic resistance movement’s capturing an Israeli soldier, saying that all international organizations voiced objection to it whereas no one cares about the 5000 Palestinians in Israeli jails.
He said there are over 5400 Palestinians, including women and children, who have been imprisoned by the Zionist regime. “Some of them are suffering from severe diseases and some have been in jail for over 20 years.”
The Saudi figure called on Arab and Islamic Ummah to play their role in putting an end to the suffering of Palestinian prisoners.
