Year’s Slogan Necessitates Turning Threats into Opportunities
This year’s slogan of “Political and Economic Epic” signifies the need for the Establishment and people to turn threats into opportunities, a scholar said.
Ayatollah Qaem-Maghami was referring to the Supreme Leader of the islamci Revolution Imam Khamenei’s naming of the current Iranian calendar year (started March 21) as the Year of Political and Economic Epic.
Speaking to IQNA, he said that the threat of sanctions should become an opportunity for developing he country’s economy.
There is great wisdom behind naming of each year by the Supreme Leader, the seminary and university scholar stressed, adding that the current year’s naming was based on the political and economic conditions.
He further said that the country has been under sanctions since the victory of the 1979 Islamic Revolution and these sanctions have been intensified in recent years.
The reference to an epic, in naming of the current year shows that the country should move toward using sanctions as an opportunity for mending the problems of the economy and rectifying the economic path of the country, Ayatollah Qaem-Maghami added.
