Iran’s Int’l Quran Competition Has Helped to promote Quranic Culture Round the World

Secretary of 30th International Holy Quran Competition said Iran’s Quran contests have helped to promote the Quranic culture in all continents of the world.
Speaking to IQNA, Vali Yarahmadi referred to the rising number of the participating countries and said 75 countries from 4 continents of the world will send their representatives to this year’s competition.
He noted that last year, representatives of 65 countries had attended the international Quranic event.
Yarahmadi said this year’s competition will kick off on May 31 in Tehran and will continue until June 7.
According to the official, the competition will be held in the categories of recitation and memorization of the Holy Quran in three stages: preliminary, intermediary and final.
He said there will be sideline programs including a congress for honoring women Quran researchers and a seminar of Quranic studies on Thursday, June 6.
Yarahmadi referred to Quran recitation sessions attended by Egyptian Quran Masters Anwar Shahat Anwar and Yahya Ragheb Sharqawi, and Tawaseeh performances by Twasheeh groups from different provinces as other programs planned on the sidelines of the contest.
He went on to say that the competition starts at 4:30 P.M. every day and concludes at 10:30 P.M.
