Qatar’s Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs Gaith bin Mubarak Al Kuwari has underlined that there will be a future plan for enhancing the Holy Quran Memorization Centers, stressing the need to increase the effectiveness of these centers and increase their numbers.
The Minister told reporters while attending a ceremony honoring the children and the new coverts winners of the Sheikh Jassim bin Mohamed bin Thani Holy Quran Contest in Doha.
He congratulated the contest winners, and expressed his delight with the results achieved by the contestants and that reflect the community's interest, "the greatest asset of Muslims which is the Book of God Almighty."
He called on parents to carry out their role in encouraging their children to turn to the Book of Allah "as the best investment and a light to the hearts and minds . "
The competition took place during the second week of the holy month of Ramadan with participation of 824 Qataris and expatriates children of whom 696 contestants had succeeded, while the number of participants in the category of new converts reached 51 persons who achieved 100 percent success.
