Int’l Conference of World Union of Muslim Women Kicks off in Tehran

The first International Conference of World Union of Muslim Women was inaugurated in Tehran’s Evin Hotel Saturday morning, September 7.
The international event aims to discuss the role of grassroots women’s organizations in elevating the status of Muslim women.
In an address to the opening ceremony, head of the Majlis’ Quran and Etrat Fraction Dr Laleh Eftekhari extended felicitations on the auspicious occasion of Hazrat Masoumeh (SA) birth anniversary and described Hazrat Masoumeh (SA) as a role model for all ages.
She also elaborated on the objectives of the international conference, saying that it will work out the statute of the World Union of Muslim Women and then discuss the role of grassroots women’s organizations in elevating the status of Muslim women.
Ms Eftekhari added that the theme of the conference will be investigated in five sessions on the first day of the international conference.
