Need for Iran, Indonesia Cooperation to Institutionalize Moderation, Intellectuality

Head of the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization (ICRO) urged for cooperation between Iran and Indonesia to institutionalize moderation and intellectuality in the Muslim world.
Mohammad Baqer Khorramshad made the remark in the cultural festival of 1000th Year of Iran-Indonesia Relations, adding that the approach of Jakarta, like that of Tehran, has been one of moderation and intellectuality.
The festival was held at the conference hall of Tehran’s Milad Tower with the participation of Indonesian Culture and Education Minister Muhammad Nouh, the country’s ambassador to Iran and a number of Indonesian artists.
Khorramshad referred to the 1000-year history of relations between the two countries and said bilateral ties between Tehran and Jakarta will strengthen the front of Islamic civilization.
H underlined that there is huge potential for expanding cultural ties between the two countries, adding that the Islamic Republic of Iran is willing to extend the relations especially because Iran and Indonesia are both members of many Islamic, regional and international organizations.
