French Magazine Insults Islam
The French magazine Valeurs Actuelles has published an article insulting Muslims.
In an article on Thursday, September 26, the magazine described Muslims as immigrants who have occupied France, oumma website reported.
It published the photo of a Hijab-wearing woman on its cover, reading “A Covert Invasion”.
The magazine has also cited some French officials as saying that the number of Muslims in France is rising and that they are a threat to the French society.
The article has drawn different reactions in the country, with the Jewish Students Society defending Muslims against such attacks.
Head of the society described the article as racist and unacceptable, stressing that such action should be confronted.
“Who could imagine a high-circulating magazine would dare to publish such a hateful article in 2013?” he asked.
