This is according to Hojat-ol-Islam Abbasian, director of Markazi province’s Awqaf Department, who told IQNA that holding such contests is an effective way for fostering the culture of the Holy Quran.
He said the organization’s Quran competitions are held better every year and attracts more participants.
Hojat-ol-Islam Abbasian said these contests are a good venue for Quran activists to identify their weak points in recitation and memorization and elevate the level of their Quranic skills.
He added that praising and honoring Quran activists and introducing them in the society is another aim of the Quran contests.
Hojat-ol-Islam Abbasian went on to say that these competitions help to encourage and promote Quranic activities in the society.
