Specialized Research Center for Quranic Sciences to Open in Najaf

TEHRAN (IQNA) – The Astan (custodianship) of Imam Ali’s (AS) holy shrine plans to open a specialized research center for Quranic sciences in the holy city of Najaf.


 According to the information website of Imam Ali’s (AS) holy shrine, Seyyed Abdul Aziz Mousawi, director of the Dar-ol-Quran Center affiliated to the Religious Affairs Section of the Astan said the specialized center will conduct research studies in various Quranic fields with the aim of disseminating Quranic sciences and teachings.

Speaking at the closing ceremony of the second edition of a specialized educational Quranic course held for Quran teachers of Dhi Qar Province, he noted that the Astan stresses the continuation and promotion of disseminating projects particularly specialized programs for Quran activists in Najaf and other provinces of Iraq.
Mousawi also highlighted the important status of Ahl-ul-Bayt’s (AS) teachings and religious sciences, including jurisprudence, Islamic beliefs and ethics which originate from the Holy Quran.
He further stressed the necessity of defending the Book of God and Etrat that, according to the Holy Prophet (PBUH), will never separate.
Also addressing the program was Majid Huwaidi, head of the group of Quran teachers attending the course, who said the Quranic Association of Dhi Qar Province and other Quranic centers and institutes affiliated to the association are ready to cooperate with the Dar-ol-Quran Center.
The second specialized Quranic course was held for teachers of 9 Quranic institutes of the province last week.
The Imran bin Shaheen Mosque of Alawi holy shrine hosted the closing ceremony.
