The Astans (custodianships) of the holy shrines of Imam Hussein (AS) and Hazrat Abbas (AS) will jointly organize the event, the website of the Astan of Imam Hussein (AS) reported.
According to Ali Khadhim Sultan, an official with the organizing committee, the festival will feature research papers on the life and character of the Holy Prophet of Islam (PBUH).
Quranic circles, books fairs, poetry reading sessions and calligraphy exhibitions will be among other programs of the festival, he noted.
The three-day event comes on the eve of the Unity Week (which marks the anniversary of the Holy Prophet's (PBUH) birth according to Shia and Sunni sources).
