Judgments in Students’ Quran Contest Were Fair and Just

TEHRAN (IQNA) – The Lebanese contender in the memorization category of the 5th International Quran Competition for Muslim Students said the judgments in the contest were fair and accurate.

Mahmoud el-Kofir who won the third rank in the competition added that he was quite happy with the judgments of the jury panel and the results of the contest.
He noted that the competition was very intense and the level of contestants was high.
The Lebanese Quran memorizer further hailed the fact that the contestants had the opportunity after their performance to go to Quran masters and learn about the weaknesses and strengths of their performance.
Asked about his Quranic activities, el-Kofri said has taken part in a number of international Quran competitions including the ones in Tunisia (2007, Libya (2008), and Kuwait (2010).
He said the International Quran Competition for Muslim Students was the best Quranic event he has attended due to a number of factors like organization of the contest and people’s enthusiastic reception of it.
The 5th edition of the International Quran Competition for Muslim Students was held at the conference hall of Milad Tower in Tehran on January 1-4.
Representatives of 47 countries took part in the Quranic contest held in the categories of recitation and memorization.
