Nat’l Quran Competition Begins in Senegal
According to nmisr.com, the two day competition will be organized by the Islamic, Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO) in cooperation with the Islamic Institute of Dakar.
120 girls and boys from different parts of the country will compete in the Quranic event.
The competition has been planned in line with ISESCO’s programs for the years 2013-2015 to encourage the elites to make the best use of the Holy Quran.
Memorization of the entire Quran with Tajweed principles and interpretation of the last two Hizbs of the Quran, memorization of half of the Quran with Tajweed and memorization of a quarter of the Quran will be the categories of the competition.
Top participants will be awarded at the closing ceremony of the competition to be held at the Islamic institute.
