Seven Participants Recite on Second Day of 58th National Quran Recital

TEHRAN (IQNA) - The 58th National level Quran Recital Assembly of Malaysia which entered its second day Tuesday saw seven participants competing at the Dewan Muktamar, Pusat Islam in Kuala Lumpur.

The first participant was Hamim Mohd Shahib from Sarawak followed by Munirah Kasim from Kelantan.

The other participants were Muhamad Muslim Ali (Johor), Norliza Tajuddin (Negeri Sembilan), Khalil Khusairi Zainol (Perlis), Nor Ruzana Natiah Jaafar (Selangor) and Mumammad Sidiq Mohd Rosli (Penang).

The six-day Quran recital assembly sees a total of 28 participants. 14 men and 14 women, from all the states.

The national male and female winners will get cash prize of RM30,000; a Proton Preve car; a challenge trophy and an accompanying trophy, as well as a Haj package.

The first runner-up will receive a cash prize of RM20,000 while the second runner-up gets RM15,000.

There will also be consolation prizes of RM4,500 for the other participants.

The national male and female winners will represent Malaysia at the International Quran Recital Assembly to be held from June 9 to 14 at the Putra World Trade Centre.
