According to the website of the Astan (custodianship) of the holy shrine, it was launched in the building of the center under the supervision of Muntadhar Al-Mansouri and Muhammad Baqer Al-Mansouri, two eminent Iraqi Quran memorizers.
Al-Mansouri said that the laboratory provides Quran activists with new technologies that facilitate learning the Holy Quran by heart.
He expressed hope that other Quranic and educational centers of the country will be equipped with modern educational systems.
There are headsets with microphones available in the lab for students enabling them to listen to the Quranic verses and repeat them individually.
The Dar-ol-Quran has also opened the first modern teaching center for Quran memorization in Jakarta, Indonesia.
