TEHRAN (IQNA) - Amid increasing misconceptions about Islam and Muslims, a leading British Muslim da`wah group has invited Muslims across the six continents to unite in a global campaign calling people to know and love Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).

“Join thousands of Muslims around the world who will be sharing why they love the Prophet upon whom be peace with their local community!,” the Islamic Education & Research Academy (IERA) wrote on their Mission Dawah Facebook page.
IERA has announced the world’s first Global Messenger Day on Saturday, May 16, 2015.
The idea of the event was first announced by IERA more than a month ago, inviting interested Muslims to register and participate in the event held in different countries, On Islam reported.
Under the title, “Who Do You Love?”, the campaign was designed to share with the world why Muslims love Prophet Muhammad (pbuh).
Those registered received training on the day, learning how to share with others why Muslims love Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) and why they should love him.
There are also two options for online training sessions set for Sunday, May 10, 2015, participants can learn more by visiting the IERA website.
The event is not the first for IERA Mission Dawah.
Last year, the group kicked off the first ever global da`wah day on July 5 in many countries around the world to spread the true Islamic message.
Under the title, “What’s Your Goal?”, the campaign was designed to convey the message of Islam while collaborating with other organizations and fellow Muslims.
IERA was established to provide support for new Muslims in the first couple of years of their journey, is now holding two of these events annually.
On the day of the event social media users will Tweet using the hashtags, #GlobalMessengerDay and #WhoDoYouLove.
