Hamburg Conference Investigates Necessity of Peace and Security in View of Islam
More than 150 scholars and thinkers from different European countries are attending the four-day event, which kicked off on Saturday, June 13.
This edition of the congress, which is hosted by the Islamic Center of Hamburg, studies the “Necessity of Global Peace and Security in View of Islam”.
In a message to the opening ceremony of the congress, grand source of emulation Ayatollah Abdollah Javadi Amoli underlined that Islam leads the society towards peace and that the pious people who assumed leadership throughout history moved on the path of upholding peace and security.
The grand Ayatollah reiterated that the actions of Takfiris, Salafists and ISIL terrorists, which run counter to peace and security in the region, have nothing to do with Islam.
The senior cleric further expressed hope that the whole world will move towards peace and security.
