Iran, Indonesia Urge Expansion of Quranic Cooperation

TEHRAN (IQNA) – Iranian Cultural Attaché in Indonesia Hojatollah Ebrahimian met with head of the Southeast Asian country’s Association of Quran Reciters and Memorizers.


In this meeting, which was held in the Indonesian capital of Jakarta earlier this week, the two sides called for the expansion of cooperation between Iran and Indonesia in Quranic fields.



Ebrahimian said Iran can share its experiences with Indonesia in the fields of Quran memorization, Tajweed and recitation teaching, and Quran translation.



He also voiced Iran’s readiness to send Quran experts to Indonesia.



Ebrahimian further said the Quranic education is just one of the areas where the two countries can expand Quranic cooperation, the ICRO website reported.



Head of Indonesian Association of Quran Reciters and Memorizers Saeed Aqil Munawar, for his part, urged that agreements reached so far for the spread of bilateral collaboration in Quranic spheres should be implemented.



Indonesian Quran expert Master Yusuf was also present at the meeting.
