TEHRAN (IQNA) – Iranian President’s Chief of Staff Mohammad Nahavandian referred to fostering the Razavi culture as the best way to confront extremism.

Speaking at a gathering of the servants of Razavi culture in Tehran, he said that in a time when extremist groups are seeking to portray a violent and unreal image of Islam, it is necessary to present the true Islam through spreading the Nabavi and Razavi culture.

He noted that the Razavi culture and school is based on prioritizing wisdom and intellect, adding that according to the teachings of Imam Reza (AS), wisdom and intellectual dialogue should be the basis of religious moves.

Today, Muslims and followers of Ahl-ul-Byat (AS) should be the flag-bearers of dialogue among faiths based on commonalities, Nahavandian further stressed.

The gathering of the servants of the Razavi culture is part of the 13th edition of Imam Reza (AS) International Festival, underway in Iran and countries around the world.

The festival is annually held on the occasion of the infallible Imam’s (AS) birth anniversary.
