According to the website of the Astan (custodianship) of the holy shrine, Mushtaq Al-‘Ameri, member of the Astan, said that a group of Iranian pilgrims, who are experts in floral designs, have decorated different sections of the holy shrine with thousands of the best kinds of flowers.
The flowers were brought from Iran to the holy city by refrigerated trucks and containers used for long distance transportation of plants, he said.
The holy shrine of Imam Hussein (AS) in Karbala was also decorated with flowers on Eid Al-Ghadir by the Section for Decorating and Planting affiliated to the Astan of the shrine.
