Putin Gifts Rare Quran Manuscript to Imam Khamenei
TEHRAN (IQNA) – Russian President Vladimir Putin gifted an old manuscript copy of Islam’s Holy Book to Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei.
The Russian head of state presented the Quran, which is said to be one of the oldest handwritten copies of the Holy Scripture, to Imam Khamenei during a meeting in Tehran on Monday.
Putin arrived in Tehran on a one-day visit to take part in the 3rd Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF) Summit.
He went to meet with Ayatollah Khamenei right after arriving at Mehrabad Airport on Monday afternoon.
