It will be organized in the city of Nasiriyah, Dhi Qar province, south of Iraq, the Qaaf news agency reported.
Prominent Quran reciters including Master Ahmed Ahmed Noaina from Egypt, Seyed Mohammad Javad Hosseini from Iran and Sheikh Meitham al-Tammar from Egypt will attend the program.
It is annually organized by the Al-Nukhba cultural and media institute, based in Dhi Qar province, in cooperation with the province’s Quranic assembly.
This year’s event will also be part of the Habibullah International Cultural Festival, which strated in the Iraqi province on December 6 and will run until December 12.
Iraq has seen a surge in Quranic activities in the past few years following the fall of former dictator Saddam Hussein’s regime.
