According to Mustafa Elsalvadori, head of the Islamic Society of El Salvador’s Shia community, it was inaugurated in a ceremony on Monday, December 7.
He said the radio station, named El Minarete, broadcasts programs in Spanish for Spanish speaking countries of the region.
He added that launching the radio network was part of the projects undertaken by the Fatemeh Zahra (SA) Islamic Center in El Salvador.
It will play a major role in promoting Islam in Latin America, Elsalvadori went on to say.

El Salvador is a Central American country on the eastern coast of the Pacific Ocean. It is the smallest and the most densely populated country in Central America.
