Leader Visits Imam Khomeini’s (RA) Mausoleum
TEHRAN (IQNA) – The Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei on Saturday paid a visit to the mausoleum of Imam Khomeini (RA).
Ayatollah Khamenei recited Surah Fatiha and paid homage to the late Founder of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Ayatollah Khamenei also visited the Martyrs Cemetery south of Tehran and paid tribute to and honored the memory of martyrs and prayed for the loftiness of their position in the Hereafter.
The visits took place on the threshold of the auspicious 10-Day Dawn Period which marks the anniversary of Islamic Revolution’s victory.
Millions of Iranians on Sunday will begin celebrating the 37th anniversary of the 1979 Islamic Revolution that toppled the US-backed Pahlavi regime.
Special ceremonies will be held across Iran to mark the occasion.
