Addressing Friday prayers worshippers in the capital of Tehran today, Hojat-ol-Islam Kazem Sediqi said people’s going to the polls and casting ballots will mean that they still have faith in the revolution, the late founder of the Islamic Republic Imam Khomeini (RA) and the aspirations of the revolution.
He also described Iran’s elections and their participation in determining the country’s and their own fate through voting as one of the blessing of the Islamic Revolution.

Tehran’s interim Friday prayers leader further underlined that the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei, has confidence in the people’s insight and that people have stood by and will continue to stand by Wilayat (leadership).
He further warned against enemy plots hatched to disrupt the upcoming elections and called for people’s vigilance.
Iran’s Assembly of Experts and the parliamentary elections are slated to be held simultaneously on February 26.
There will be 290 seats in the Iranian parliament and 88 in the Assembly of Experts up for grabs.
Members of the assembly are directly elected to office by people for an eight-year term. It holds biannual meetings to appoint a new chairman.
