Iran’s Representatives at Int’l Quran Contests Selected

TEHRAN (IQNA) – Head of the Quranic Affairs Center of Iran’s Awqaf and Charity Affairs Organization said the country’s representatives at different international Quranic events have been selected.

Hojat-ol-Islam Seyed Mostafa Hosseini told the Radio Quran’s Telawat-e Man (my recitation) program that Seyed Mostafa Hosseini will compete for Iran at the 58th edition of Malaysia’s International Al-Quran Recital Assembly.

He added that Hadi Movahed Amin, Mehdi Saed, Mohammad Hassan Movahedi and Mehdi Gholamnejad have been selected to represent the Islamic Republic in the Quran competitions of Tunisia, Russia, Indonesia, and Turkey, respectively.

According to Hojat-ol-Islam Hosseini, Mojtaba Mohammadbeigi will be Iran’s representative at Kuwait’s international Quranic event.

Iran will also have memorizers in the Quran competitions of Tunisia and Turkey. Reza Nejad Tabrizi and Ali Akbari will respectively take part in the North African and West Asian countries’ contests.

The Islamic Republic of Iran’s Quran reciters and memorizers have displayed a brilliant performance at international Quranic events in recent years.

Last year, Iranian reciter Mohsen Hajihassani Kargar came first at the 57th International Al-Quran Recital Assembly in Malaysia.

Another Qari from Iran ranked first in the international Quran contest of Moscow, Russia.
