According to Qaaf news agency, it was organized for men by the Dar-ol-Quran center of the Astan (custodianship) of Imam Hussein (AS) holy shrine in Karbala, Iraq.
20 Quran teachers from Jakarta and its suburban areas took the weeklong course.
A number of Quranic figures and religious scholars attended the closing ceremony at the branch of the center in Jakarta.

Addressing the ceremony, Seyed Hussein Shihab, a member of the Dar-ol-Quran center, underlined the importance of training qualified Quran teachers in order for raising a generation well-versed in Quran memorization and recitation.
Muhammad Baqir al-Mansouri, who supervised the course, in a speech encouraged those who passed the course to continue learning the Quran and teaching it to others.
He also said that the 8th edition of the Quran teachers training course will be held for women in the coming weeks.
The courses feature, among others, theoretical and practical rules of recitation and methods of memorization of the Holy Quran.
