It will be organized by Palestine’s al-Azhar Institutes Center in cooperation with the World Association of Quran Memorization, Dunya al-Watan website reported.
Researchers and scholars in the field of Quranic sciences as well as representatives of Palestinian Quranic institutes and centers will take part at the event.
It is slated to be held on April 19-20, said Yusuf Juma Salama, director of Palestine’s al-Azhar Institutes Center.
He said a committee of scholars has been set up to supervise the organization of the event.
Salama said the conference is aimed at promoting Quranic activities and encouraging people to learn the Quran and memorize the verses of the Holy Book.
Providing a venue for Quranic institutes and centers to exchange experiences in the field of Quranic education and discussing the challenges they are facing are among other objectives of the conference.
Despite the Zionist occupation of Palestine, the Palestinian people have kept developing Quranic activities for years.
There are many people in the Arab country who have learned the Holy Book by heart and many others who have mastered Quran recitation skills.
