Malaysia Names Representatives for Iran Int’l Quran Contest

TEHRAN (IQNA) – Malaysia has named its representatives at the 33rd edition of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s international Quran competition.


According to the website of the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization (ICRO), Wan Fakhr al-Razi bin Wan Muhammad and Muhammad Umran bin Zu al-Zumarain will compete for the Southeast Asian country in the Quran event.

Malaysia’s Department of Islamic Development (JAKIM) has given the names to the Iranian Cultural Center in Kuala Lumpur.

The 33rd edition of the Holy Quran International Competition will be held in the Islamic Republic of Iran on the last week of Rajab 1437 Hijri (May 01- 08, 2016).

The event brings together participants from almost all Islamic countries, providing a unique opportunity for people from different races across the continents to assemble in a display of unity.
