107 Women Honored in Gaza for Memorizing Quran

TEHRAN (IQNA) – In a ceremony held in Gaza City earlier this week, 107 women who have learned the Quran by heart were honored for their achievement.

According to Dunya al-Watan website, it was organized by the women department of Palestine’s Awqaf and Religious Affairs Ministry.

Those honored at the ceremony have memorized the Holy Book at Mashael al-Quran center in Gaza.

Addressing the event, Walid Ouwaiza, an official with the ministry, praised the women for their accomplishment and said those who serve the Holy Quran are the ones who can liberate al-Aqsa.

He also reiterated the ministry’s support for Quranic activities in a;; areas including memorization, interpretation and recitation.

Kafah al-Ramli, director of the women department, in her address underlined the importance of reading and memorizing the Quran.

She also called on the women who have memorized the Quran to implement the teachings of the Holy Book in their life.

At the end of the ceremony, the 107 Quran memorizers received gifts and certificates of honor.
