
Iranian Cultural Attaché in Belarus Abdolmajid Shafahi told IQNA that the History Institute of Minsk will host the event, organized on the occasion of the 27th departure anniversary of the late founder of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
He said chancellors, scholars and students of a number of Belarusian universities will attend the seminar on Wednesday.
13 papers, 11 by Belarusian scholars and two by Iranian researchers, will be presented at the event, Shafahi, noting that they feature the influence of Imam Khomeini’s thoughts on the Iranian nation and government.
There will also be a question and answer session at the end of the seminar.
Friday, June 4, marks the 27th anniversary of the demise of Imam Khomeini.
The anniversary is commemorated by millions of Iranians as well as Muslims in various parts of the world every year.
Imam Khomeini (RA) passed away in 1989. He left behind a legacy of Muslim unity and active resistance to oppression, a legacy which continues to resonate with Muslims today.
