TEHRAN (IQNA) – 8 artists from 6 countries have showcased their Quranic artworks at the 11th edition of Mashhad International Holy Quran Exhibition.

The artists, who are from India, Afghanistan, Syria, Iraq, Pakistan and Turkmenistan, have been invited by the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization (ICRO).

Their artworks are in different art forms, including calligraphy, painting, engraving, etc.

The 11th edition of the international Quran and Etrat exhibition of Mashhad was launched in the northeastern Iranian city on Thursday, June 16.

It has 24 sections, including Quranic publishers, Quranic arts, children and teenagers, Quran interpretation and contemplating the Quran.

Grassroots and governmental institutes have showcased their Quranic activities and achievements in 700 pavilions at the expo.

Also, 90 publishers from across the country have put on display their latest Quranic books.

Mounted on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan, the exhibition will run until June 22.

Every year during Ramadan, various Quranic activities, including Quran recitation sessions and exhibitions are held across Iran to promote the Quranic teachings and culture in society.
