According to hashtagsyria.com website, head of Bahrain’s Human Rights Society said the pilgrims, who have travelled to the kingdom individually, were arrested by the security committee of Bahrain’s Hajj committee.
In a message posted on social media, he slammed the move,
saying that the Hajj committee’s responsibility is facilitating the pilgrimage
for Bahraini citizens not arresting them.
Some sources say the reason for the pilgrims’ detention is
that they have travelled to Saudi Arabia without obtaining permission.
Bahrain’s Ministry of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Awqaf
says it has no information of the number of Bahraini citizens going to Saudi
Arabia without having the required permissions.
The Hajj is a pillar of the holy faith of Islam that every
able-bodied Muslim who can financially afford it is obliged to undertake during
their lifetime.
