The ceremonies began on Monday night after Magrib and Isha prayers at the Imam Khomeini (RA) Husseiniya (religious center) in Tehran. They will continue for five days.
A number of senior officials, including Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani and Judiciary Chief Ayatollah Sadeq Amoli Larijani, as well as a large group of people took part at the religious event last night.
Each night a speaker talks about the life and character of the beloved daughter of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and then elegists recite elegies to commemorate the anniversary.
The first night’s speaker was senior cleric Hojat-ol-Islam Kazem Sediqi who described the lofty spiritual status of Hazrat Zahra (SA) as being beyond the comprehension of human beings.
