Quran Recitation Plan in 30,000 Mosques in Iran
TEHRAN (IQNA) – Around 30,000 mosques in Iran host a Quran recitation plan dubbed ‘Tilavat Noor’ (recitation of light), an official said.
Mohammad Reza Jafari, education and research deputy of the Mosques’ Art-Cultural Centers Committee, added that some 800,000 copies of the Holy Quran have been sent to these mosques by the committee for implementing the plan.
He added that as well as recitation, in 7000 of the mosques hosting the plan the participants also get interpretation of the verses recited.
Exegeses of the Holy Quran have been provided to the imams of these mosques for interpreting the verses, Jafari added.
Referring to other activities of the committee, he said it organizes cultural, art and religious programs in mosques with the aim of encouraging the you to get involved in religious activities.
