75-Year-Old Woman Memorizes Entire Quran
TEHRAN (IQNA) – A 75-year-old woman in Saudi Arabia has managed to learn the entire Quran by heart.
Mansiya bint Saeed bin Zafir al-Aliyani has made the accomplishment despite being illiterate, according to Twasul website.
She lives in al Bujaila village in Asir region, located in the southwest of the country.
Mansiya memorized the Quran by listening to recitation of the verses by prominent Qaris.
She also attended Quran memorization classes held by the Dar-ol-Quran center in her village.
The Holy Quran is the only religious Scripture that is memorized by its followers.
Innumerable persons in every Muslim community have memorized the Quran since the first day it was revealed.
The Quran has 30 Juzes (parts), 114 Surahs (chapters) and 6,236 verses.
