Fatima Atitou achieved this success after 15 years of continuous effort to learn to read and memorize the Quran, El-Balad reported.
On the eve of her 80th birthday, after overcoming illiteracy, she has memorized the entire Quran in a journey full of challenges and determination.
This Quranic success was announced at a ceremony held by the “Future Generations Association” in Qena, which was attended by people who had helped her on the path of learning and memorizing the Quran.
In this program, Atitou and those who helped her on this scientific and religious path were honored.
Memorizing the entire Quran at this age sends the message to everyone that as long as there is will, age is never an obstacle to learning and changing for a better life.
Ahmed Abdel Qader, the head of the administrative council of the Future Generations Association, said: Fatima Atitou is 80 years old and did not know how to read and write; but by attending the literacy classes in this association, she learned to read and write in a short time, then participated in the Quran memorization and Tajweed rules sessions of the association.
