TEHRAN (IQNA) – Contenders in five international Quran competitions held in Iran last week visited the mausoleum of the late founder of the Islamic Republic, Imam Khomeini (RA) on Sunday.

They laid a wreath on the tomb of Imam Khomeini and paid respect to the late Imam.
They also held a Quran recitation session at the mausoleum.
The 36th International Quran Competition of the Islamic Republic of Iran as well as international Quran contests for women, visually-impaired, seminary students and school students were organized in Iran on April 10-14 with the participation of Qaris and Quran memorizers from 84 countries.
