Iran’s President Congratulates Muslims on Prophet’s Birthday

TEHRAN (IQNA) – Iranian President Hassan Rouhani sent separate messages to the heads of Muslim countries to congratulate them on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

In these messages, Rouhani said, “We are proud to be in the Ummah of a prophet who is the messenger of peace and mercy for all of the world, a prophet whose Seerah has always been a guide for all the faithful and Muslims in history”.

He hoped that by acting upon the sublime lofty teachings of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), Muslims will bring about security, justice and friendship in the world, especially in Muslim countries.

He further wished health and success for leaders of Islamic countries and prosperity and glory for Muslim nations.

Muslims all over the world have been holding ceremonies over the past few days to celebrate the birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), which falls on the 12^th day of the lunar month of Rabi al-Awwal (November 10 this year) according to Sunnis and 17^th day of the month (November 15) according to Shias.
