Qatar’s Sheikh Jasim Quran Contest Winners Awarded

TEHRAN (IQNA) – Winners of the 26th edition of Sheikh Jassim bin Mohammed bin Thani Holy Quran Contest in Qatar were awarded in a ceremony on Monday.

 

Qatari Minister of Endowments and Islamic Affairs Ghaith bin Mubarak Al Kuwari attended the ceremony in Doha.

The winners of first place was awarded QR100,000, while the second place winners were awarded QR85,000. Winners of the third place got QR70,000, the fourth place got QR60,000 and the fifth place got QR50,000.

Four Bangladeshi nationals residing in Qatar were among the top winners in different categories.

The Organizing Committee also awarded incentive awards for participants who passed the second phase but did not qualify for the third phase, as well as the participants who have good voices.

The contest is annually organized by Qatar’s Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs.

The preliminary stage of this year’s edition was held on November 16-21 and the final round was held on November 25-26.
