Resistance Scholars Forum Planned in Iraq
Sheikh Khaled Al-Mulla, head of the Iraqi Scholars Association, made the remark in a meeting with Iranian Cultural Attaché in Iraq Hojat-ol-Islam Gholam Reza Abazari, adding that he and a number of scholars and cultural activists are going to organize the event to promote the culture of resistance and self-sacrifice.
He also referred to the martyrdom of Iranian top commander Lt. General Qassem Soleimani, deputy head of Iraq’s Hashd al-Shaabi Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, and a number of their entourage in a recent US drone attack in Baghdad, and said the martyrdom led to boosting unity and solidarity in the Muslim world.
Sheikh Al-Mulla underlined that the two nations of Iran and Iraq will continue on the path of the martyrs.
General Soleimani and the others were assassinated in the drone attack, ordered by US President Donald Trump, on January 3.
