Speaking to IQNA, Morteza Khedmatkar said that the launch of the international event had been announced to be on May 5 but due to some considerations it was brought forward to May 2.
The reason for this, he said, is that the new managers of the Imam Khomeini Mosalla (prayer hall) where the exhibition is held have said they will need more time to prepare the place for the Eid al-Fitr prayers and so the Quran exhibition needs to conclude earlier than previously planned.
The expo is annually organized by the Iranian Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance in the holy month of Ramadan.
It is aimed at promoting Quranic concepts and developing Quranic activities.
The exhibition showcases the latest Quranic achievements in the country as well as a variety of products dedicated to the promotion of the Holy Book.
