Gen. Soleimani’s Assassination Proof of Enemy’s Desperateness: IRGC Commander
Speaking in a ceremony Sunday in the southeastern province of Sistan and Baluchestan, Brigadier General Pakpour added that the move also demonstrated that the enemy is incapable of facing the country directly as it is fearful of Iran’s military power.
He added that by killing the popular commander, the enemy made a big mistake because it only led to more resolve in the resistance front to confront the global arrogance.
General Soleimani, Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, who was the deputy commander of Iraq’s Popular Mobilization Units (PMU), and a number of their entourage were killed in the strike by American drones near Baghdad International Airport in the early hours of January 3.
The Pentagon said in a statement that US President Donald Trump had ordered the US military to assassinate the top Iranian commander.
