According to alanba.com.kw, the deputy said a plan to organize the courses has been received well by the citizens and more than 20,000 students have so far registered for the courses in six provinces of Kuwait.
He added that training courses for teachers who are going to hold the online Quran memorization classes will also be organized in three parts with the participation of 1000 teachers in each part.
Referring to other Quranic programs of the ministry, he said a Quran competition will also be organized by the ministry in the near future and those willing to participate should send a recorded video file of their Quran recitation to the ministry.
The best reciters will be awarded 15,000 Kuwaiti dinars, according to the official.
The Ministry’s Quran and Islamic Studies Department also plans to hold educational courses on life skills for men and women as well as courses on Islamic injunctions to welcome the holy month of Ramadan, he said.
