TEHRAN (IQNA) – Registration for the 13th edition of “Al-Zaid” Ramadan Quran competition in the UAE, which will be held online, will begin on April 20.

According to sharjah24.ae, the Al-Zaid Cultural Club in Sharjah announced that the Quran competition will be held starting from April 27.

It has been planned for three age groups: children from 5 to 10 years of age, teenagers from 11 to 15 and those aged 16 to 20.

Emirati citizens willing to attend the competition should send a video file of their recitation of one page of the Quran.

The first group can select verses from the first five Juzes (parts) of the Quran and the teenagers and the youth can recite verses from Juzes 6 to 10 and 11 to 15 respectively.

The head of the official council of the cultural club said that the competition will be organized online given the outbreak of the coronavirus.

Winners will be announced on the 15th day of the holy month of Ramadan, he added.
