Leader Condoles Death of Senior Cleric
TEHRAN (IQNA) – Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei in a message expressed condolences over the death of member of the Assembly of Experts Ayatollah Ebrahim Amini.
In the message, released on Saturday, the Leader described Ayatollah Amini as a pious and industrious scholar who spend his life in learning and promoting Islamic teachings.
Ayatollah Khamenei also highlighted the cleric’s active presence in political and social fields, including serving as Friday prayer leader and membership in the Expediency Council.
The Leader offered condolences to the seminaries and scholars and the family of Ayatollah Amini and prayed for the departed soul to rest in peace.
Ayatollah Amini, who represented the people of Tehran in the Assembly of Experts, died in Qom on Friday.
