TEHRAN (IQNA) – The 28th edition of the Tehran International Quran exhibition will be held online.

The expo, which is annually organized by the Quran and Etrat Deputy of Iran’s Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance in the holy month of Ramadan, was postponed and later cancelled due to the coronavirus outbreak.

Now the Quran and Etrat Deputy, headed by Abdol Hadi Feqhizadeh, has decided to hold it in the virtual space.

A meeting was organized in Tehran earlier this week to discuss the requirements for the virtual exhibition.

At the meeting, Feqhizadeh said the organizing committee of the expo thought that they could mount the exhibition in June after initial suspension but it soon became clear that it won’t be possible.

He highlighted the capacities of the cyberspace and referring to similar plans implemented online expressed hope that the online exhibition will also be a good experience.

The official noted that the virtual exhibition, like the real one, will be international.

The Tehran International Quran Exhibition is aimed at promoting Quranic concepts and developing Quranic activities.

It showcases the latest Quranic achievements in the country as well as a variety of products dedicated to the promotion of the Holy Book.
