TEHRAN (IQNA) – The second stage of the sixth edition of a group Quran contest in Iraq was held with the participation of 21 teams from different provinces of the Arab country.

According to Al-Kafeel website, the winners of the stage, which include four top teams from the Astan (custodianship) of Imam Ali (AS), Babil, Al-Muthanna and Maysan provinces will compete in the semi-final stage of the contest.

The flag of the mausoleum of Hazrat Abbas (AS) is the special prize of the Quran contest.

The annual competition is the most outstanding Quranic activity of the Holy Quran Center affiliated to the Astan (custodianship) of Hazrat Abbas (AS) shrine in the holy month of Ramadan.

This year’s Quranic event is being held in the form of a phone-in contest due to the coronavirus restrictions.
