TEHRAN (IQNA) – Sheikh Mahmoud Sakar, known as the oldest Quran teacher in Saudi Arabia, died at the age of 90.

The Maknoun Quran Memorization Society announced the death of Sheikh Sakar, who was originally from Egypt, RT Arabic reported.
It said in a message that the Quran teacher spent much of his life teaching the Holy book.
Mahmoud Sakar was born in a town in Egypt’s Giza Governorate. He was a graduate of Al-Azhar Islamic University.
He lived in Saudi Arabia for decades and had an active presence in Quranic circles and Quran memorization centers in Riyadh.
