Egyptian Girl Memorizes, Calligraphs Quran

TEHRAN (IQNA) – Marvah Khalid Al-Azimi, a 14-year old Egyptian girl, succeeded in memorizing the entire Quran in three years and calligraphing the Divine verses in five months.

 

According to akhbarelyom.com, she started Quran memorization and learning Tajweed principles at the age of 11.

Khalid Al-Azimi, her father and teacher, says that Marvah read the Quran fluently and performed her prayers in their due times.

He adds that she was very interested in memorizing Quranic verses since early childhood, and notes that it is an honor for him that his sons also love to memorize the Quran.

Marvah, who has been honored as a young Quranic elite who acts upon Quranic teachings, lives in Farshut, a city with a population of more than 190,000 in Qena Governorate.
